Primary Job Responsibilities :
Develop multiple stable cell lines expressing various transgenes.
Develop and optimize high content imaging assays to support high throughput screening.
Cell culture and the maintenance of multiple mammalian cell lines.
Assessment of compound efficacy via immunocytochemical, biochemical and molecular biology techniques, such as immunostaining, immunoblotting, and immunoprecipitation.
Analysis of experimental data, addressing methodological problems in experimental protocols and results, presenting data and results.
Documentation, compilation, and assistance in interpretation of experimental data.
Presentation of data to supervisor in oral and written reports, and group meetings.
Management of databases or spreadsheets to compile and present results in a meaningful manner
Consulting scientific literature as needed
Primary Job Requirements :
A Bachelor’s (+2 years experience) or Master’s (+1 years experience) degree in neuroscience, cell biology or related discipline with experience in a research laboratory setting
Strong proficiency in basic lab techniques, especially in tissue culture operations. o Experience in stable cell line development preferred.
Proficiency in the principles of cell biology, biochemistry and neurobiology.
Experience in cell based assay development and validation preferred.
Knowledge of relevant scientific databases preferred.
