Review RFQ’s for clarity of request, suitability for Schneider Electric product offering, risk assessment, profitability, and time given to complete.
Based on the above criteria, along with Quotation team’s loading, and with input from the sales team, to decide to bid (or not).
Reviews customer specifications / drawings to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive.
Understands, analyzes, documents, and communicates contractual and technical terms and conditions relative to the company standard.
Serves as peer expert for proposal questions including complex technical issues and quote strategies.
Structure and assemble the proposal / bid documents in collaboration with the concerned stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Plan and monitor the deadlines to ensure timely and accurate approvals, proposal development and submission
Review bid and incorporate appropriate clarifications and expectations’ in the proposal
To work with the sales team members to determine specific closing strategies for each bid.
To work with the Quotation / Bids Specialists or Supervisors, to determine weekly capacity and capabilities.
To liaise with the Consultant Sales Representative(s) for; 1) Specification clarification requests generated by Quotations / Bids Specialists;
2) To identify specifications that are not favorable for Schneider Electric.
Work with our Partners to coordinate our strategies, and leverage our strengths.
Ensure all bids, are entered into BFO, by the Quotation specialists
Ensure all information that assists tracking is entered into BFO, (Value Chain Players & CRM).
Set and manage the agenda for quotes meetings, focusing on upcoming bid closings, following up closed bids, and any issues which are relevant to the sales cycle.
Other duties as required
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Proven bid management experience (6-10 years) in the Electrical Industry, with trong exposure to low voltage switchgear
A track record in planning and delivering large project bids involving electrical distribution equipment and / or industrial automation systems will be given preference.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Detailed oriented and strong proof reading and communication skills both written and verbal
Computer skills : MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) / MS Projects.
Ability to travel (10%).
