Based at our site in Crespin, we are currently looking to recruit a : Product Safety Engineer Electricals (m / f) YOUR ROLE : Part of the Electrical, wiring and interconnected systems(EWIS) team, you will responsible for the development, planning, coordination of the deliverables and performance of safety activities on bid, platform and project level.

You will have a global technical leadership of product safety in charge to provide evaluations and analysis with regards to product safety, reliability and maintainability, develop competences and ensure process adherence within the EWIS organisation including our partners and alignment with the Product Engines and Product Safety CoC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Review of Safety documentation for bids, projects and platform products, support and guide engineers in providing the safety documentation.
  • Ensure preparation of Electricals safety documentation in line with internal directives and rules and product / project requirements.

    Ensure correct application of company’s processes and relevant safety standards.

  • Prepare safety analyses to support decisions during platform, bid and project development and to support homologation processes.
  • Interface to suppliers and internal / external customers regarding safety topics and close co-operation with project engineers, designers, system engineers to achieve safe and economic design solutions.

  • Act as interface towards other divison’s safety communities, Product Engine / region and suppliers with the aim to standardise and to streamline safety deliverables, processes, standardisation and tools.
  • Manage Safety bulletins related to Electricals till closure

  • Being part of the Product Safety community ensure we continuously improve our product safety, use the most economical technology and product safety processes and standards and spread knowledge within the Organisation.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Electrical Engineering or Safety Engineering;
  • Up to 5 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering in railway industry or similar industries (e.g. automotive);
  • Experience in areas such as Systems Engineering, Concept Design and Architecture, Requirement Management, Functional Analysis, Testing and Commissioning;
  • Experience in Electrical and functional engineering, product safety, FMEA, FTA
  • Knowledge related to the production of electrical panels, cabinets, wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies;
  • Knowledge or experience in electrical product development from bid to product introduction (through all project delivery phases) would be an asset;
  • Capability to work in an international environment and in multi-cultural teams;
  • Open minded, flexible;
  • Solid user experience of MS office;
  • Fluency in English is essential;
  • Availability to travel for business purposes.
