RESPONSIBILITIES ( ) & MAIN TASKS (+)

Cost Control

Administration & monitoring of all financial, invoicing and reporting aspects of SBM units (FSO, FPSO, MOPU ) which are under a charter and / or an operation contract(s).

  • GENERAL :
  • Support to the Shore base F&A Mgr and Shore base General Mgr for any finance matter.
  • Travel to shorebases to support Finance department when required.
  • Support to the Production Finance Director & Cost control Manager on finance activity as required.
  • ADMINISTRATION :
  • Control & follow-up of Marine Manpower forecasts.
  • Check Purchase Requisitions (amount & cost codes) before approval by the Unit Operations Mgr and the Shore base Mgr.
  • Control & follow-up PO Lists.
  • Prepare external audit files.
  • Coordinate the review and signature of Investment Request, Major Repair,
  • BUDGET & FORECAST :
  • Analyze charter & operating contracts after hand-over & prepare / update contract summaries.
  • Coordinate yearly budget preparation.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation of Charter & Operating forecasts.
  • Issue and follow-up required Budget Variance and Insurance / Client / Warranty claims.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation of Investments & Major Repairs forecasts.
  • Provide analysis to Cost Control Managers and Financial Director on Monthly Operating Report.
  • Update Portfolio and Cash Planning on Quarterly basis.
  • CLIENT INVOICING :
  • Prepare clients invoices according to contractual terms & book accounting records.
  • Follow-up client invoices & send reminders to client when payment is late.
  • Maintain the client invoices register (Boat Invoicing file) updated & support Project Treasury Coordinator and Treasury Group for payment booking.
  • Allocate payments in the accounting system.

  • ACCOUNTING :
  • Perform accounting booking required for the month-end close & year-end close exercise.
  • Provide analysis and follow up of operations related balance sheet accruals & provisions
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS : EDUCATION :

    EDUCATION :

  • Business School or financial & accounting related degree.
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • 3 years in cost control in an international environment.
  • SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (knowledge or know how) which are a key factor for the position :

  • Pro-activity
  • Available to travel to SBM shore bases for support to local F&A department.
  • Our Company, SBM Offshore, is looking for a 9 months temporary contract.
