The Challenge

To reinforce the DSM Food Specialties HR team in Seclin we are looking for an HR Business Partner. In this role you will originate and lead People & Organization practices and objectives within a diverse fast paced environment that provides an employee-

oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes growth, continuous improvement, safety, empowerment, engagement, quality, and ongoing development.

The Position

Purpose of this role is to develop, design and execute HR strategies in alignment with the Manufacturing site in Seclin as well as the global HR team of DSM Food Specialties.

  • Deliver business value by partnering with management to develop a HR plans which contributes to the realization of the business plan of the departments in organization development, structure, leadership, culture and talent management elements
  • Contribute with management on initiatives to develop and enhance high performance and an inclusive and collaborative culture of the internal organization.
  • Collaborate with management in the preparation and execution of budget (FTE planning and tracking) and strategic workforce planning, taking into consideration items like market developments, business plans, training, location, cost, productivity and capability levels of staff
  • Develop initiatives for enhancing workforce effectiveness and coaching line management on people management responsibilities
  • Drive transformation programs deriving from both corporate and the BG, like the DSM HR Transformation Program and changes in the unit strategy
  • Support the Site Manager in the Site Management Team on People & Organization related topics
  • Report into the global HR BP Operations & Manufacturing, based in Delft and is part of the site Management Team in Seclin
  • The ideal

  • Master degree in Human Resources or other appropriate field required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of HR, preferably in a (food) manufacturing environment
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to Business Leaders, managers and associates as required
  • Implement and facilitate global and regional HR initiatives for the local organization
  • Solid experience in dealing with Works Councils / Labor Unions
  • Work fully independent, proactive and a real team player
  • Good listening skills and ability to continuously learn about key business and people data in order to translate this into comprehensive and concise information or advice for management
  • Fluent in French and English language
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
