As an Independent Consultant with expertise in execution of Maintenance & Reliability (M&R), you will lead specific workstream on M&R subjects matter within wider projects, aiming at identifying, designing, and implementing effective solutions.
You will provide your expertise to help clients establishing and implementing robust Maintenance & Reliability programs.
The ideal candidate must have strong expertise and proven experience in various aspects of Maintenance and Reliability in challenging industrial contexts, in areas of Work Execution, Planning, Scheduling, Warehouses, Spare Parts, Reliability Solve Problems processes (e.
g., RCFA), Reliability Prevent Problem processes (e.g., FMEA / RCM), coupled with excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills to drive client’s team and manage change in complex organization.
The candidate should also be familiar with Mechanical Integrity and the implications of M&R in Process Safety Management (PSM).
Your key responsibilities :
As an Independent consultant your responsibilities will be, but NOT limited to :
Structuring and sequencing the project / workstream activities
Developing a detailed implementation plan to drive execution of the project / workstream
Preparing and Leading field assessments at client Sites
Providing subject matter expertise on M&R (Work Identification / Execution, Planning and Scheduling, MRO, Warehouses, RCFA, RCM, CMMS Good practices, Contractor Management, Training and Competencies, development of processes and procedures, Mechanical Integrity, Quality Assurance of critical parts, Criticality Analysis, Operations Driven Reliability, Design for Reliability, Predictive Maintenance techniques, Condition Monitoring, Enterprise Asset Management, Turnarounds and developing areas in Internet of Things IoT, etc.)
Leading the clients’ teams along the different stages of the project (e.g. gap analysis, detailed planning, review, adaption and enhancement of M&R and Execution methodologies, capability building including classroom training and coaching on real cases, etc.
and share leading practices in the area of expertise
Understanding and being able to articulate and influence (via coaching and direct engagement) aspects of client Leadership as a critical enabler for M&R excellence
Effectively communicating progress and outcome to different client’s stakeholders
Proactively identifying issues and risks in relation to the specific delivery activities

MEng in engineering, MS or equivalent
Past direct experience in Operational and / or technical roles in any challenging industry (e.g. Transportation, Pharmaceutical, O&G, Mining, Metals, etc.) is highly valuable
Past experience in major international / global companies is highly valuable
Strong knowledge and ideally practical experience in application of a wide range of M&R Processes
Broad understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and how different PSM system elements are linked together (e.g.
Process Safety Information (PSI), Management of Change, Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance, etc.)
Knowledge and practical experience of Project Management tools and techniques such as MS Project, Primavera, etc would be advantageous
Knowledge and experience on Risk Based Inspection programs and understanding of testing requirements and implications related to SIL rated Safety Instrumented Systems
Proficient with standard office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Experience and comfort in dealing with CMMS systems and data analytics such as SAP-PM, Meridium etc., with certifications being a distinct advantage
Experience in developing procedures to define key system requirements as well as Audit Protocols, KPIs and Governance mechanisms to monitor effectiveness of implementation of project elements
Ability to effectively deliver training & coaching sessions to build / strengthen capabilities on M&R and Mechanical Integrity related topics
Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-working attitude to be able to work in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong / effective verbal and written communication to be able to interact at different levels of the organization, from Executive down to technicians and operators
Problem solving and flexibility to analyze and adapt to situations
Strong personal resilience to challenging situations
Fluency in both written and spoken French and English. Other European languages is highly valuable
Ability to travel extensively up to 80 % of monthly time
