The Supply Chain Supervisor will directly oversee the site logistics operations, logistics personnel, and operational planning for the High Springs, FL ALAM site.
This role is expected to work with multi-functional teams including : operations, sales & product management, quality, safety and maintenance to achieve site and business goals and deliver customer satisfaction.
The individual will drive continuous improvement and productivity projects to improve the operational efficiency and cost effectiveness for the site.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management for Logistics team
Ensure accurate inventory records for all stored materials
Ensure scheduling and tracking of inbound and outgoing shipments
Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing and carriers
Ensure maintenance of customer service logs and safety records
Manage all indirect material storage, shipping, receiving, and internal delivery for internal customer groups
Ensure timely and accurate completion of import and export filings, customs transactions, and any other for international shipping
Monitor GHS labeling requirements and product labels to ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor accuracy of shipping, lead time, weight, product classifications, and other ERP master data
Coordinate calibration schedule of warehouse equipment
Update and maintain standard operating procedures for site logistics
Investigate root causes on issues with shipping / receiving, product damage, and carriers
Participate in plant operations meetings as appropriate (planning, safety, hazard analysis, etc)
Establish and maintain a strong relationship with other departments
Monitor and respond to production or lab issues impacting on time shipping
Sales and Operations Planning
Develop long range material supply plans for key raw materials to support production plan; update each month for Supply Meetings
Update S&OP plan with confirmed supply plan each month
Maintain parameter information for material planning (lead times, batch sizes, yield factors)
Develop and maintain production plans for Florida plant
Enter and manage production jobs in the ERP system
Monitor inventory to ensure adequate supply and service level
Coordinate with Sales and Production on product availability to meet orders / deadlines, packaging requirements and other aspects of customer requirements
Develop and maintain material plans to support production plans for Florida
Enter purchase requisitions for all raw materials
Maintain purchase orders with updated receipt dates based on latest status
Manage supply from 3rd party raw material providers and contract manufacturers
Work with Procurement to manage supplier relationships
Communicate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to maintain status information on inbound supply, to share future material requirements, and to coordinate asset transfers
Coordinate with Asset Manager and Operations to provide cylinders in alignment with material plan
Develop and maintain procedures related to planning process
Develop planning models to support effective material and production planning
Support development and implementation of improved planning systems (MRP, APS)
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or a related field
5+ years of relevant experience in logistics with exposure to supply chain planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated influencing skills to work cross functionally in a matrix environment
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability
Experience leading teams
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Certified in 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
10 years of relevant experience in logistics with exposure to supply chain planning
Experience in chemicals industry
Experience in or supporting the electronics industry
Experience with logistics management of hazardous materials
Strong ERP system experience
Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) solutions
