Marine Project Manager (New Build Vessels) Multiple Locations
Navis Consulting are currently working with a global leader in the maritime sector, seeking experienced Project Managers for multiple opportunities based in either of their offices based throughout Europe.
The role of Project Manager will be, ensuring to assist the Technical Manager to make sure all the projects are managed and run in a smoothly and safely way.
The Project Manager will have responsibility for coordinate all the projects from start-up through to acceptance. Primary duties include :
Accountable for translation of Business Needs into a project approach; defining, documenting and securing the Project Execution Plan and Contracting Strategy.
Accountable for project controls : project cost estimating, planning / scheduling, project benchmarking, effective cost control / forecasting, effective project progress control, contracting / procurement-
plans, cash flow management and financial status of the project.
Accountable for development and implementation of Project Quality Control and Assurance.
Responsible for managing the project interfaces with all parties involved, including internal and external communication and transfer of relevant project data according to a communication plan.
Accountable for achievement of project objectives (quality, time, budget) and defined expectations of the principal.
Responsible to safeguard EHS requirements within the project
Responsible for coaching of team members and ensure results-oriented cooperation.
University Degree in Marine / Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
7 years post graduate experience in naval architecture, marine or electrical engineering.
Good English in speaking, reading and writing.
