By delegation of the HW / SW Projects Director, the SmartCockpit Chief Engineer (CME) runs the organisation in charge of delivering the entire Infotainment & Connectivity solutions related to the new SmartCockpit solution, according to the expected Quality, Costs, Timing, Performance objectives and the expected Purchasing and Industrial orientations.

He will :

  • perform the global delivery for the entire Projects portfolio he has the responsibility of, with respect to vehicle programs timelines.
  • Negotiate the project scope, garantee the staffing for each project, and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value;
  • Create and lead effective communication across development teams, stakeholders and with the executive team.
  • Organize and lead projects status and working meetings;
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports for the entire Projects Portfolio
  • Manage hierarchicaly all the Projects managers in charge of the Portfolio.
  • articulate his entity with all the relevant organisational structures.
  • Manage risks and issues
  • The SmartCockpit CME, together with his team and for the entire portfolio,

  • Contracts with all the stakeholdes to meet the project's objectives and guaranties their feasibility after having made sure of their transverse coherence with the main prescribers
  • Articulates with Strategy (PLAN) for roll out definition, funding negotiation, milestones preparation
  • Articulates with all Vhl programs (with respect to the roll out plan defined above) and with Quality division (CX), then reports about the progresses & impediments
  • Consolidates the global brands & product needs, then negotiate the FRP with Engineering,
  • Owns the entire set of the Quality Costs Timing Performances targets, and is subsequently empowered to make every necessary decision to meet the project's objectives.
  • Is the guardian of the transversality of the technical solution, and is relentlessly seeking for any diversity reduction possibilities
  • Sets reference trajectories (intermediate objectives to be met at each key step) to follow in order to meet the project's objectives;
  • Defines, for every key stage of the project development, the operational organisation adopted to meet these objectives (project management plan);
  • Coordinates all the products and processes development activities, notably between the vehicle system, sub-systems and industrial systems on the one hand and between the project and the vehicle platform on the other hand;
  • Interfaces efficiently with all the engineering, product & planning entities to produce regular reports for the entire Projects portfolio, and remove any potential impediment to the global execution.
  • Organise the entity to maximise the synergies and commonolaties between the xFCA & xPSA worlds
  • Leads the Convergence process, which will lead to a fully unified way of implementing Infotainment & Connectivity products in the new Stellantis group.
  • Profil

    Graduated in / Major and Basic Knowledge required for the job (including language, )

  • Solid understanding of connected services development life cycle models, including off board & on board.
  • Solid knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices, and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • Creative, natural leader, fast learner, ready to evolve in a fast-growing environment, and eager to guide and coach people in a multi-cultural & international organisation.
  • proven track record in both, technical leadership and program management, including 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams.

  • Proven ability to lead complex development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met
  • idealy, already demonstrated ability to think out-of-the-box and build disruptive initiatives in the industry, ideally in the embedded development for the automotive sector.
