    In this context, AXA Partners CIO wants to appoint a Head of IT Strategy and Transformation who will be responsible for defining IT strategy, ensuring that transformation agenda and the resulting initiatives are aligned with AXA Partners strategy, well designed and executed, and expected impacts and benefits delivered thanks to comprehensive and consistent roll-out and change management


    The Head of IT Strategy and Transformation acts as the key cornerstone across all IT functions, at global and regional level providing expert advice to CIOs and teams to ensure best-practice execution of AXA Partners’ vision of architecture, transformation approach, performance and risk management.

    As part of Global Operations, the role holder works tightly with Global Operations Departments to ensure that IT’s means but also culture and priorities match AXA Partners’ transformation imperatives.

    The Head of IT Strategy and Transformation will manage 4 departments, composed approximately of 40-60 collaborators :

  • Enterprise & Business Architecture ( 8 internal people)
  • IT Project Management ( 17 internal people and 5 external people)
  • IT Performance & Governance ( 5 internal people and 4 external people)
  • IT Audit, risk & compliance (3 to 4 internal people)
  • Define and propose to the IT SLC (Senior Leadership Committee) the IT Strategy for AXA Partners

  • Analyse AXA Group IT Strategy and define for AXA Partners the relevant inputs and / or initiatives : Data, Cloud, Legacy Modernization, Workplace,
  • Analyse AXA Partners’ strategy and objectives and define with the relevant stakeholders, within the IT organization and Global Operations, the relevant initiatives
  • Build the IT Strategy and ensure the validation at the all the level (IT SLC, Global Operations and Excom)
  • Propose the Target Architecture supporting that ambition.
  • Consolidate the roadmap of IT transformation programs and manage the IT Strategic Plan execution. Ensure that they are well aligned with AXA Partners global strategy and target architecture, sharing it directly with key transformation leaders across the functions and regions.
  • Co-ordinate AXA Partners global IT transformation agenda working closely with each function, regions and, finance and HR teams to understand business case content and to provide global oversight on activity and benefits to be realized Define and drive AXA Partners enterprise architecture, business architecture and information technology to make an Agile, simple, reliable and cost-effective Information System, to foster innovation, and to reduce the technical debt Ensure that the business and enterprise architecture are aligned with the business ambition and priorities Promote architecture and technology standards, guidelines in AXA Partners’ Agile ecosystem Ensure effective stakeholder engagement (within IT, Global Operations and AXA Partners’ ecosystem) and communication to maintain alignment, facilitate strategic arbitrage and enable progress Define the IT Transformation Governance and Run that governance to ensure the Execution of the Plan Communicate and report on the progress of the IT Strategy and Transformation to the relevant stakeholders and governance bodies (Excom, AP Transfo Steerco, ).

  • Manage the AXA Partners portfolio and Investment Governance keeping alignment with AXA Partners strategic plan ensuring an efficient and effective decision-making process in coordination with the Transformation Office Simplify and lead transformation investment governance for IT and Non IT projects Build and keep up-to-date an integrated transversal IT transformation roadmap at Global level and plans at Region level aligned with AXA Partners strategic priorities, managing interdependencies, and optimizing the investment and change management capabilities Set-up an effective transversal governance structure for the IT transformation projects at EXCOM level and local level while leveraging (or proposing changes in) already existing IT Transformation project governance.
  • Define and run the IT Governance on the IT activities supporting the IT Strategy and Transformation on the main dimensions (Strategy, Finance, Sourcing, ) involving all the relevant stakeholders and aligned with Global Operations governance.
  • Define and build the Global Performance dashboard of the IT activities and report to the stakeholders.

  • Define, set-up and manage an IT PM community, in coordination with Global Operations PM CoE, at global and regional level, to develop the required IT Project Management capabilities, support PMs’ career paths to attract and retain key talents and provide the best project management resources to ensure delivery and success
  • Design and implement appropriate risk and compliance management strategies, policies, processes and tools to identify, quantify and limit all the risks the IT entities can be exposed to aligned with AXA Partners’ strategy in strong coordination with the others Global Operations department and following the AXA Group framework Risk Management : Conduct the risk analysis for the IT scope and define / follow up the remediation action plan.
  • Apply the Risk Management framework for the IT scope and manage the KRI reporting Audit : Plan the audit within the IT organization, manage the relationship with auditors and validate the audit report and the MAP.

    Do the follow up of the audit issues Internal Control : Define the roll out plan of the IC framework, manage the relationship with the IC team and do the follow up the IC issues Compliance : Define and animate the Compliance governance applicable to the IT activities, define and communicate the compliance rules and policies applicable to the IT and assess globally the level of compliance of the IT activities and manage the remediation plans related.


    Technical / Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven track record of strategically aligning financial resources with people resources, technology and other assets to achieve desired strategic outcomes
  • Strong influential leadership behaviours to drive alignment, arbitrage and delivery at all levels
  • Significant experience in change management and digital / IT transformation of a large multinational company
  • Proven managerial, leadership and talent management skills
  • Strong financial (P&L) and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive delivery and advance complex global programs despite potentially adverse and changing conditions through effective governance and targeted executive escalation in a matrix organisational set up
  • Demonstrated Expert judgment with the ability to quickly identify, analyse, evaluate and resolve problems at the local / regional / international level which could negatively impact global program implementation and / or financial results
  • Fluent in English
  • Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree education ideally in business, or related subject
  • Experience of working at a senior / executive level in a complex environment, managing multiple transformation projects
