We are looking for our new Head of Retail Buying for EMEA. Based out of our regional headquarters in Saint Jean de Luz in France and reporting to the Head of Retail Operations, you will be responsible for providing buying direction to all store banners within the Boardriders O&O retail business.
In this key role you will manage a team of retail buyers and will coordinate the region’s buying strategies in accordance with market needs and will be responsible for maximizing the business’ topline and gross margin performance across the store portfolio through the appropriate selection, delivery, and in conjunction with Retail Planning, the inventory management of merchandise.
You will be a key contact point for all internal brands and departments such as Brand Marketing and Product Development to ensure the needs of the Retail business are met and will work closely with the brands to deliver on set strategic and financial targets, while ensuring a steady flow of seasonal, consumer relevant product- and brand stories.
Coming from a retail buying background with a multi-brand fashion-, sports-, outdoor- or lifestyle retailer, you have an equally strong strategic-
and commercial mindset with an in-depth understanding of brick-and-mortar retailing and merchandising. You are customer focused with experience from omni-
channel retailing and work well cross-functionally and understand what is required to excel in a matrix-driven organisation.
Recommend promotions, markdowns and liquidation when needed
Escalate as needed to the relevant superiors.
