Summary In early 2019, the NRO decided to fully embrace digital engineering (DE) and subsequently created the Office of Digital Engineering (ODE) as the transformation office’ responsible for driving this complex, disruptive change throughout the organization.

Phase one operations have been focusing on optimizing system engineering execution by combining technology, training, and DE techniques.

One of the foundational elements to driving this complex, disruptive change is the design and implementation of a DE Ecosystem that can meet today’s customer need as well as be flexible enough accommodate for future DE technology advancements.

As the DE Ecosystem Senior Project Leader, you will be the trusted advisor to the customer on the design, implementation, and sustainment of their DE Ecosystem.

  • Work location is Chantilly Virginia. Key Functions Provide expert advice on all matters about the DE Ecosystem directly to the customer Identify tasks and lead teams on studies and analyses to be performed by Aerospace matrixed engineers Develop briefings and present recommendations to customer and Aerospace management staff Provide expert advice (and systems engineering support) in the design, implementation, and sustainment of the customer’s DE Ecosystem Interact with customer counterparts and serve as a Senior Project Leader by providing systems engineering, Model Based Engineering (MBE), and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) support of seamlessly integrating DE into the entire organization Required : A Bachelor of Science degree from accredited university in engineering, sciences, mathematics and at least 12 years of relevant experience Familiarity with advanced cloud computing;
  • modern software development methodologies; and capabilities of modern-day multilevel security systems Experience with integrating DE Ecosystem tools to include modeling, simulation, workflow, scheduling, collaboration, visualization, system engineering, integration and database tools This position requires the ability to have and maintain a current and active TS / SSBI / SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.

  • S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance Preferred : Highly preferred Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree A Master of Science or Doctoral degree from accredited university in engineering, sciences, mathematics or equivalent experience Familiarity with data science application to National Security Space programs as well as the DE Ecosystem currently deployed across the IC and DoD Applicable experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud including computing, data as service, platform as a service;
