Job Description :
Responsible for ensuring units, common areas and community appearance are properly maintained
Responsible for all requests for various types of maintenance work assigned by the Site Manager
Responsibilities related to electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, painting, and other typical apartment repairs
Work alongside the Site Manager and the on-site staff to ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, federal, housing, safety and OSHA laws
Adhere to dress code as established by management
Use protective equipment when necessary and follow safety procedures
Communicate with staff and residents in a professional manner
Complete work orders manually and on the computer or tablet
Maintain and upkeep maintenance shop for inventories on parts, tools and supplies
Monitor maintenance purchases
Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules and make ready activity
Coordinate after hours emergency response
Previous maintenance experience required, specifically in an apartment community
Excellent organization and customer service skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize workloads
Must be able to work independently with little supervision
Superior diagnostic skills and be able to perform repair work on the following : appliances, electrical systems, plumbing systems, carpentry, and painting / sheetrock
Required that you maintain a valid state driver's license and current insurance; you are also required to have your own tools.
HVAC certification required.
