As a Project Design Leader m / f for Functional Safety you are the central technical contact person in the multidisciplinary project team.
You are responsible for the development of certified software and hardware components and their integration into our automation systems.
With our safety chain solution, we are enabling our customers to fulfill the functional safety requirements for simple machines up to highly complex dynamical machines.
Functional safety is a rapidly growing segment in industry and forms an essential component of our automation technology.
This position can be located in one of our development sites either in 97828 Marktheidenfeld or 77933 Lahr in Germany, alternatively in Singapore.

Your field of work - diverse
Technical management of the development of safety components and safety systems
Analysis of marketing requirements and creation of specifications
Define development strategies and concepts
Planning, co-ordination and monitoring of the development of safety-related products
Expense estimation, resource allocation and scheduling
Coordinate the integration of the developed components
Identify project risks and initiate appropriate mitigations
Close cooperation with the project management and the project leaders from the other disciplines
You are responsible for creating, reviewing and approving technical documents (product specifications, design specifications, etc.)
Monitor the development in terms of quality, budget and schedule
Support for the continuous optimization of our products
Your profile - qualified
Studies of electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science or similar
Several years of experience in R&D
Understanding of R&D processes (requirement engineering, system architecture, design, specification, implementation, verification and documentation)
Experience in industrial automation technology with PLCs, HMIs, I / O systems, drives, fieldbuses and communication networks
Ideally you have experience in project management
Ideally knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g. IEC61508, ISO13849, IEC62061)
Knowledge of requirement management tools (e.g. RequisitePro) and bug tracking tools (e.g. ClearQuest)
Ability to analyze complex tasks and develop solutions
You have a very good command of English and enjoy working in an international and multicultural environment
