The Controller position is opened in the Royal Canin Group Financial Planning Reporting & Analysis department, currently counting six controllers, and reports to the Royal Canin Group Financial Controller, reporting himself to Royal Canin Group CFO.
The department is in charge of consolidating all subsidiary information to generate RC Group financial statements, bringing visibility on performance and insights to meet the Group’s short and long term business objectives.
The team is focusing on periodic performance analysis, reporting, consolidation, forecasting and governance, process.
Key responsibilities are :
Periodic, quarterly and annual reporting : organize, coordinate, prepare, process and analyze these reportings coming from Royal Canin units around to world to Royal Canin group headquarter.
After review and consolidation these are sent to Mars headquarters,
Analysis : prepare recurring analysis on the cash and cash drivers allowing to understand Group performance and share them with key stakeholders such as Royal Canin Group CFO, regional CFOs, and other Royal Canin senior leaders
Financial consolidation of the Group, on time in full, compliant with the Mars Finance manual, including consolidation entries.
Governance & Control : Co-lead the governance agenda across all functions. Develop and strengthen governance culture and mindset across organization.
Implement & manage robust financial controls across subsidiaries.
Mars Finance Manual : facilitate and support the units in the interpretation of the finance manual
Auditors : coordinate group external and internal auditors
Periodic submission : support units during periodic reporting submission and in adhoc analysis
Balance sheet accounts analysis : control, review and analyze Balance sheet including tax payments.
Generally speaking, he / she will actively support the Group in its accelerated development; will participate to the management of the financial community within the Royal Canin Group.
He / she will have regular contacts with all local units’ CFOs, regional CFOs and Royal Canin Group CFO and will be in relation with the stakeholders within Mars Corporate such as segment and Mars Inc Financial Planning and Analysis Director, Corporate Controller .
Joining the Group, the responsibilities will consist on :

Consolidate RC Group reporting under Mars gaaps (US Gaaps)
Coordinate, process, review and analyse group performance reporting such as : Cash, Net working Capital analysis
Prepare adhoc analysis on net cash from operations
Prepare key analysis on business performance such as periodic one pager summary for the segment CFO & controller
Act as a real business partner and contribute in influencing Royal Canin global leadership team in decisions to deliver business objectives, based on business performance
Drive continuous improvement opportunities in the closing, consolidation, reporting and forecasting process together with the rest of the team and the local controllers and CFOs
Participate in the integration of new business units
Co-lead the governance agenda across Royal Canin : align on yearly governance agenda with the finance leadership team, follow-
up & communicate on progress to support functions leadership team leveraging dashboards .
Graduated from a Business School, or Degree in Finance from leading university
Good analytical skills
A knowledge of Hyperion HFM / ESSBASE and Mars Inc reporting systems would be appreciated,

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and strong Excel and financial modelling skill
A 3 to 5 years’ experience in an International Audit Firm (Big Four + Mazars) allowing the proper background for the job is a must.
In addition, 2 to 3 years’ in a major international group providing the candidate with a successful operational financial experience (financial controller, management accounting ) is highly preferred.
