What success looks like in this role :

The Client Architect France is an IT Enterprise Architect, who has overall responsibility for the technology program on leading Unisys France accounts and for assisting the sales and Client Executive and operational teams in delivering the contracted services.

Primarily focused on expanding our portfolio footprint by creating compelling solutions, for full ITO (C&I and DWS), Imaging, Cyber Security and Social Collaboration based on our portfolio and the Client requirements.

Working as a trusted advisor to the customers in respect of our scope of contracted services, providing insight and guidance on future innovations and technical roadmaps.

The individual is responsible for transforming our processes, people, technology and culture, focused on the quality of client experience at all levels, and acts as a true client advocate, ensuring the client’s voice is heard in all functions and activities, and that this influences Unisys’ priorities and behaviors.

What success looks like in this role :

  • The Client Architect has a deep understanding of the client’s key IT and business challenges, focus areas and business objectives, and is able to specify business value from the client’s perspective.
  • This role requires an intimate understanding of the customer behaviors, drivers and values through data analytics, qualitative means, living the client’s life, plus virtual social interactions.

  • Works with individual teams and Global Delivery and Capability Leads to identify opportunities, deliver the contracted services and change projects.
  • The goal is to improve performance, generate and demonstrate greater value and consistently contribute to driving up client satisfaction and its measurement as a key account metric.

  • As our clients look towards a digital future, the main objective and responsibility of the client architect will be to help our customers, on that journey.
  • Has an open-minded hands-on mentality, working as transparently as possible always considering possible application scenarios and use cases while planning innovations and considering future technologies.
  • Is responsible for taking a leadership role in Strategic Business Planning, Service Excellence and Improvement and Applied Innovation Programs, whilst ensuring improved Governance maturity.
  • Focus on the overall strategy with the Client and the account leadership team to define and develop the IT strategic roadmap within the scope of services contracted.
  • You will be successful in this role if you have :

    Qualifications, Architecture and Technical Skills Mandatory : (Skills that are key must haves for the role)

  • Native or near Native French language skills
  • A training or accreditation record that underpins continued learning behaviors and proven completion of industry relevant courses.
  • Demonstrable application of these skills into bids.

  • At least 10+ years’ experience as an IT Architect and at least 8+ years as a presales focused role with demonstrable history and experience, gained from a Managed IT Service provider’s career.
  • Significant experience working on pursuit and bid engagements with : Cloud and Infrastructure Domain including but not limited to Cloud based services, Data Centre, Enterprise Computing, Storage, Networking, Data Protection, Security, BCDR.
  • Digital Workplace Services domain including but not limited to End User and Field Support Services and respective delivery models, Service Desk and associated Tooling, End Point Operations and Support.

  • Demonstrable experience working with a mix of partners and alliances with the objective of constructing compelling solutions and adopting new technologies, solutions or services that push the boundary of our industrialized approach , always innovative in consideration and challenging the status quo.
  • Strong familiarity and know-how in Microsoft technologies including as a service utility consumption.
  • Assisting the EMEA Architecture peer group with technical proposal reviews or evaluations whilst also offering any technical leadership, guidance and mentoring as appropriate.
  • Contributes to win strategies and definition of win themes, including business case development and solution approach.
  • Guide the proposed technical solutions through the Unisys Deal Review Board for approval.
  • Make architectural decisions about how solutions should be designed and implemented.
  • Assists the Commercial manager with risk management processes, leading technical / operational assumption setting and contingency definitions and provides input into the contractual terms and conditions (e.g. SLA achievement).
  • Leads solution review sessions and participates in contract, HR, SLA and Statement of Work negotiations including transition hand-over activities to the Transition and Service Delivery teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • As the role will entail working with clients across France, regular travel can be expected to meet client-scheduling needs.
  • The candidate needs to be willing to be flexible in regards to working hours and travel requirements especially in the first year of establishing the viability of a leveraged model.

    Desirable : (Skills that whilst not mandatory would be desirable to have for the role)

  • Experience working across private and public sectors across EMEA particularly financial services and public agencies. Candidate’s experiences aligned to Unisys industry, verticals and geographic presence
  • Consultative selling knowledge / experience.
  • Complementing the experience required under mandatory attributes : Exposure and knowledge around, Cloud Transformations, associated industry cloud services providers such as Azure / AWS / Google etc.
  • management tools, applications, commercial models and transformational roadmaps.End User Experience Monitoring / XLA’s, Cyber Security Practices, Analytics.

    Applications Services Modernization, Transformation, Support / Managed Services.

  • Experience in working with large IT Infrastructure service delivery or technical leadership role. Able to assess and balance the sales pursuit with the considered realities of delivery and service implications.
  • Togaf / Zachmann, ITIL and other industry-relevant standards or accreditations.
  • Understands what is important to achieve the right results, does not need detailed guidance.
  • Team Player goes beyond the responsibilities of the role in order to successfully close topics.
  • Curious about innovations and its relevance to the customer.
  • Communicate and contribute with the Service Lines on issues identified from field observations, client feedback and technical communities (e.g., Case Studies).
  • The role will report directly to the Presales Solution Architects Leader and dotted line to the Unisys Client Executive.
