Power Conversion and Motor Control enabling Energy Efficiency
Application Control or Functional Safety enabling Solutions for the customers
Ethernet, Web Servers and DTM enabling Digitization and Services
The embedded firmware development team is responsible for the definition and detailed design of embedded solutions to meet the functional, performance and quality objectives of the variable speed drive and its applications.
The mission :
Work on the definition of the Cyber Security architecture of the SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC range of variable speed drives.
Work with transversal technical disciplines (control, application software architecture, Communication, Functional Safety, electronics and processors) and define with them the most relevant architecture by considering their impact on the design and performance of products.
Participate to the definition of new Drive embedded firmware architecture.
Participate to the evolution of the architecture and core components of the software
Specify the development of new Cyber Security features, validate the adequacy of the architecture with the specifications
Evaluate Cyber Security features integration in architectures using simulations, expertise, prototypes, customers interviews, competitors benchmarks,
Propose Design Solutions considering the cross-functional requirements (schedule, cost, technical risks).
Translate Cyber Security architecture concept to a realized design.
Conduct a continuous survey on Cyber Security associated technical in embedded firmware.
Conduct a continuous follow up of identified weaknesses on internal code or used libraries.
Participate to analysis and solution proposals to mitigate the identified weaknesses in the requested delivery time.
Software engineer with experience and expertise in cybersecurity and design of embedded software (minimum of 5 years of experience), within R&D
Knowledge of embedded software architectures on microcontroller and processor (ARM CORTEX 3, CORTEX 4, A8 and others), in C, C ++, RTOS (μOSIII, QUADROS or others : LINUX, VXWORKS)
Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP / IP, HTTP(S),
Knowledge of digital signature, high availability concept, secure boot, secure storage, device guenuineness
Experience in IEC62443 and secure development lifecycle is desirable
Previous experience w / development cycle is desirable
Lean / Agile mindset is a must
Experience and expertise in managing project requirements including embedded software and electronic aspects.
Consolidated knowledge of embedded software engineering
Ability to work in multi-cultural and multi-national teams
Readiness of mind, analytical thinking, flexibility & ability to act independently and on your own responsibility, resilience
Willingness to travel (
English is mandatory, French Speaking would be a plus
