Summary Role : Product Manager

Maxeon is seeking a high-energy, market and customer-oriented Product Manager as a critical member of the Product Organization.

This role will be responsible for defining and delivering on Maxeon's Module Level Power Electronic (MLPE) roadmap for its Distributed Generation market.

The manager will have to make sure that MLPE products and experiences will be delivered within planned budgets, costs, quality, time, customer experiences and overall product functionality.

The manager will also continuously manage together with key company executives and stakeholders. Core responsibilities include the MLPE product development for global market, collaboration with our R&D, Supply chain, Marketing & sales organizations to drive product and solution sales, increase market share and increase profitability.

The ideal candidate will be strong both technically and commercially, be comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders across our customers, partners, suppliers and internal organization.

This person must have a passion for leading and developing product, P&L oriented and be capable of driving business-level decisions at all levels of the organization.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Product Management.


  • Develop MLPE product offering strategy depending on various international market environments and resulting in product profitability
  • Define, develop, launch and refine new MLPE technologies (AC modules, Rapid Shutdown modules) as part of the global offering
  • Participate to stage-gate product development process with a focus on budgets & costs, quality, customer experience, time to market and product functionality
  • Identify and mitigate issues, risks, and barriers to successful product launches and growth
  • Proactively gather input at the right times from appropriate individuals without stalling the process; gain alignment and commitment to plans
  • Continue expansion of AC modules in more countries
  • Spark product innovation through the conception of new features and enhancements
  • Interact with customers and channel partners to gain insight on their needs
  • Document product strategy and requirements (including technical requirements, business cases, market potential, financial analysis, product positioning, value proposition / key benefits, and target customer messaging, etc.)
  • Play an active role in cross-functional product team meetings by guiding product trade-off decisions and otherwise assisting R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure successful, on-schedule product development
  • Work with Engineering and Supply Chain to identify and validate potential partners to enable or enhance Maxeon’s product offering, including make / buy analysis and recommendations
  • Identification of areas that can be accelerated through partnering and / or M&A (and active participation in associated diligence)
  • Work with legal department to craft partnership agreements and perform due diligence
  • Participate in product release and go-to-market projects (including support Marketing’s delivery of training to the sales organization, channel partners and customers)
  • Provide ongoing tracking and analysis of key products competitors
  • Analyze our MLPE products price positioning in the portfolio
  • Work on local regulations and codes to ensure that solutions are compliant to changing market requirements
  • Develop and drive a product roadmap with execution teams and stakeholders, including product launch and optimization plans
  • Track, analyze and present product line financial results to management and recommend changes in product, price or positioning
  • Represent Maxeon at public events (e.g. trade shows, speaking opportunities) as a subject-matter expert

  • Bachelor / master’s degree (or similar technical field) in Electronics / Electrical engineering completed by an MBA (if possible)
  • 5+ years in product management, or related roles
  • Experience in microinverter, optimizer, inverter product development
  • Experience in leadership of cross-functional teams with proven success leading multiple teams and product / feature launches in high-growth environments
  • Experience with Agile / Stage Gate product development
  • Technical savvy and understanding of how to support the engineering process
  • Proven success leading product / feature launches in high-growth environments
  • Strong business acumen
  • Customer-focused, with strong user empathy and the ability to understand end-user needs and translate into actionable strategies
  • Creativity to develop compelling product experiences
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, and leverage resources effectively up, down, and across the organization
  • Understanding of energy economics, and distributed generation interconnection policies and compensation mechanisms
  • Sound decision-making ability
  • Ability to remain flexible, juggle multiple priorities, & change directions as needed
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills; this individual must be able to communicate ideas and information clearly and concisely
  • Experience in the photovoltaic industry highly desired
  • B2C / B2B experience
