Role summary :
Based on highly advanced market information from (potential) customers, operators and market stakeholders, this position develops the Marketing strategy of the product line (PL) as well as in collaboration with sales and engineering the strategy of applications.
Even more, with a dedicated knowledge about the market and the technological potential of the PL, this position generates opportunities and identifies which markets could be generated in the interest of the customers and the PL.
Above mentioned said will need to be plugged in a bracket in order to be able to address the right marketing approaches as well as to address the needed success criteria (technological-, functional-, price-wise) of the key applications.
Key responsibilities :
In accordance to Wabtec / Corporate and Product Line Industry strategy set marketing strategy for Product Line Industry by evaluating customers, stakeholders, applications fields with the strong focus on expanding future business models.
Providing the market parameter for product definitions :
In charge to measure the performance of a product / service portfolio at a global level : sales, market share, competitiveness in terms of pricing, market coverage.
Be responsible for KPIs : market share, customer engagement (adoption of innovation).
Defines, trains and controls Product Line Industry expectations for sales and takes care to achieve it.
Supports / fixes and communicates customers’ expectations (throughout PL / EC&A as well as customers) in terms of Pricing, Quality and Delivery.
Leads the product definition based on an in-depth understanding of market, competition and real-life product usage.
Manages, together with technical teams, technical competitive benchmarks when required >
Set Unique Selling Points, differentiation and weaknesses of our products.
Develop Product- and Solution-Selling-Tools
In accordance to Wabtec / Corporate responsibility on Corporate Identity & Corporate Design, manages product and brand / site communication strategy for all Product Line Industry Products.
Sets / Defines trainings (on tools, communications, rhetoric, presentation skills).
Supports to builds Product Communication content and will be in charge of the digital content moderation, demonstrators, data sheets, references, etc.
Develops Value Selling tools.
Identify the best events / exhibitions to promote the products lines and define the related event strategy.
Supports Development, floats and distributes pricing strategy in accordance to Wabtec / Corporate set pricing strategy for Product Line Industry sites in accordance to sales structure (production, site, reseller, agent, market).
Market research and new business development
Focused on the development of new business strategies accessing the customer needs and driving internal core competences in order to achieve the market requirements.
Monitors the global market : captures customer expectations, product purchasing process, usage, norms and regs, trends, competition, innovation.
Together with Sales Area Manager and Group Marketing team, organizes competition watches for his products (turnover, orders, market shares, calculations, industrial & engineering footprints, ) and dedicated market studies within his product line.
