Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Terminal Link, you manage developments of new business units (container / bulk / general cargo / roro terminals) to grow the portfolio of Terminal Link on a worldwide basis with the target of realizing 2 new projects per year from greenfield, brownfield or M&A opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Manage Opportunities
Identify and pre-assess business development opportunities, in line with expectations from both shareholders and in close coordination with the MD / CEO
Manage preliminary and feasibility study reports
Coordinate the elaboration of a preliminary financial models with the Finance and technical team
Suggests next steps : define complementary studies / due diligences pre-budget in respect to legal, technical, financial or market issues;
Propose organization and time schedule to the project team
Present opportunities to TL’s Investment Committee in order to select the best opportunities to be developed as projects
Manage projects until Project Team Leader is appointed. Monitor all projects until signing / transfer to mature Business Units
Develop Project into Business Unit
You supervise the project team on the following subjects :
Selection of sponsors’ advisors, DD implementation and update of project budget
Updating a comprehensive and well-supported Business Plan, in order to be submitted to TL’s Investment committee
The tender process : from EoI to Proposal submittal and Contract signing, including setting-up of the JV-Concessionaire.
The same to be adapted to M&A process
Implementing competitive financing solutions, including project contracting such as EPC and equipment supply.
Sourcing the required local team; assist in elaborating transition plan, labor recruitment plan, etc.
Manage marketing quarterly reports (opportunities, competition, etc.)
Manage and develop the Business Development team
Initiate and coordinate submittals of relevant materials to TL BoD, in compliance with TL procedures
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
You hold a postgraduate degree (+5 years) in Business or Engineering. During your 10 / 15 year experience in ports development or a similar role, you obtained significant financial and marketing skills.
Working experience in container terminal would be appreciated.
You work in autonomy and show a sense of initiative as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Result-oriented, you have the ability to work under pressure and to maintain deadlines
Your strong team spirit & work ethics enable you to be succeed this mission.
Also, you are willing to travel frequently and fluent in English, Spanish as a third language would be a plus.
