We are currently looking to recruit a Planning Specialist - Divisional Transformation (m / f)

in Hennigsdorf (Germany) OR Mannheim (Germany)

As a Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for guiding the Rolling Stock Equipment (RoQ) Structural Transformation Team in the management of all planning, scheduling and progress control related aspects of the RoQ Structural Transformation in accordance with the Planning & Scheduling Process.

This includes the application of the generic Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and using it as a cost and progress management tool throughout the project.

In this role, challenging all inputs from all parties and regularly tracking and reporting progress against the baseline schedule will be required.

You will continuously monitor risks and opportunities as well as proactively develop scenarios, mitigation or back up plans if required.

Your Challenges :

  • Your main challenge will be to guide the RoQ Structural Transformation Team in the planning of activities to deliver the project using standard tools (e.
  • g. generic Work Breakdown Structure).

  • Establish and update the Detailed Planning and Scheduling system (DPS) based on common objectives within the project will be a major part of your work, together with monitor and report schedule progress and deviation to senior management and other parties involved.
  • Manage, with the support of all RoQ Structural Transformation Team members, the effective communication of the current DPS to all relevant stakeholders, including any updates with possible threats or opportunities derived from present or future deviations to the DPS.
  • Regularly update the Finance Controller with any and all progress or delays to the DPS to secure that implications to the allocated budgets are monitored.
  • Act together with the PMO RoQ Transformation as focal point to BT Transformation Planner / PMO network.
  • Qualifications

  • A university degree, preferably in Engineering or Business. Or a tertiary qualification and planning & scheduling experience.
  • Additional qualification in planning & scheduling is an advantage.

  • Typically minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant role on complex projects of similar scale.
  • Experience on several international projects and / or bids, ideally in similar business areas (e.g. railways, oil & gas, technology, energy).
  • Knowledge of relevant software is an advantage (Primavera).
  • Business fluency in English is required for the role. German knowledge would be an advantage.
