Within its Central Engineering Team, Alstom is looking for its Test Laboratory Manager

Position based in Saint-Ouen (93), national and international travels (10% of the working time)

As Test laboratory Manager, you’ll report to the Site Certification Validation Manager and manage the Test laboratory engineers and technicians.

The purpose of your position is to manages the Test Laboratory of our site in Saint-Ouen to :

  • develop, maintain, improve the testing means, methods and know-how in order to obtain / maintain the accreditation on one or several domains.
  • To propose the relevant testing solutions to support and boost and enhance innovation, validation, investigations, R&D.
  • Your main missions will be :

  • Ensure compliance of EHS directives and instructions by the test lab team members
  • Manage the Profits & Lost wise the Test Laboratory : Define the investment (CAPEX), optimize test means implementation and maintenance
  • Ensure test lab most relevant contribution to Alstom R&D and Innovation strategy
  • Implement, manage and continuously improve the quality system of the Test Laboratory
  • Develop and ensure the preservation of external recognitions (COFRAC, ISO, IRIS, )
  • Ensure the achievement of the tests in accordance with the SQCD commitment
  • You will be responsible for :

  • The lead of the Test laboratory Team (Technically and Quality wise) and the coordination of the test domains
  • Guarantee the independence, the integrity and the confidentiality of the staff
  • Report to the Direction of the site the possible conflicts of interests to which the Laboratory may be subjected to.
  • Define the objectives of the staff and planning staff required trainings
  • Manage reviews and continuous improvement actions, ensure the follow-up and the closing of the quality action plan resulting from the audits, reviews
  • Build partnerships internally and externally in close relationship with Alstom Innovation axes
  • Your profile :

    Graduated from an engineering school, you have an experience in the industry and you have a strong knowledge in Train System

    You master the test standards (EN17025), methods, tools and means and you have a practical experience on testing phases (minimum of 2 years’ experience in Railway or Health, Defense, Aeronautical, Automotive domains).

    You are reliable and you can manage work packages for external customers

    Experience in team management : at least 2 years

    Electrical habilitation level is required (ie : B2V - B2V Essai - BE Essais - BR BC / H2V - H2V Essais - HE Essais - HC )
