In these areas, Expertise France carries out engineering and implementation missions for capacity building projects, mobilizes technical expertise and acts as an aggregator of projects involving public expertise and private know-how.
With an activity volume of 233 million euros, more than 400 projects in portfolio in 80 countries, and 63,000 days of expertise, Expertise France focuses its action towards France’s solidarity policy, influence and economic diplomacy.
The key expert in organization and operations of public health services will : - assess the organization and operations of the Greek Public Health administration at the national level (Ministry of Health and its supervised bodies), propose the necessary changes and prepare an implementation plan with the Greek Ministry.
She / he may be involved or in charge of other activities in the project.She / he will work in close cooperation for these activities with the Team Leader and the expert in efficiency, and with experts involved in other components of the project.
At the beginning of the project, after a documentation phase, she / he will participate in an inception mission during which the workplan for the project and his / her tasks, deliverables and deadlines will be precisely defined.
On the eve of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Greek Ministry of Health introduced and the Greek Parliament approved law 4675 / 2020 for the Public Health System Reform.
Among the provisions, the law highlights a strategy for Public Health, creates a National Action Plan on Public Health, introduces the basic principles of the National Public Health Programme Spiros Doxiadis and all the institutional and legal amendments to the existing Public Health SystemThe National Prevention Public Health Programme Spiros Doxiadis has been drafted and approved with an estimated budget of more than 658 million euros.
It is a 5 years’ plan aiming at improving the health of the population with 4 strategic goals : - Primary Prevention - Interventions and actions aimed at reducing the incidence of diseases, disabilities, or injuries and carried out before their occurrence.
The technical support will include 4 components : - Component 1 : Technical support for improving health monitoring, surveillance, and rapid reaction to health threats.
It will last 24 months.The team will be composed of the following experts : - International expert in public health surveillance- International expert in preparedness and rapid reaction to health threats- International expert in public health laboratories- International expert in organization and operations of public health services- International expert in the efficiency of organizations- International expert in the digitization of Public Health services- International expert in software tools and methods for remote Public Health services (such as e-health, e-inclusion, telemedicine, and homecare)- Expert on IT for Health services in Greece- Expert team leader- Local coordinator- Ad-hoc short-term experts Qualifications and skills- A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least four years attested by a diploma.
Alternatively, a relevant diploma of less than 5 years of study completed by a relevant field experience may suffice.- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
