Finalité du poste

Reporting directly to the R&D manager of the bakery and culinary (BC) pole, the bakery technologist is responsible for supporting the business growth of our ingredients in the bakery and culinary applications through customer technical support, specific customer project development, and demonstration or trials on the customers industrial and pilot lines.


Your main responsabilities will be :

Provide technical expertise to support core business and new development of the BC pole on specific areas or key accounts by :

  • Giving technical advice to the sales force, customers or agents (by phone, mail or face to face)
  • Create or adapt recipe sheets or technical dossiers to meet customer needs
  • Training the sales force, customer or agents
  • Preparing final products samples for customers visits as required
  • Collaborating with the applications R&D managers, R&D technicians and the marketing team of the BC pole
  • Action and follow up trials, studies or product development for customers or internal requests by :

  • Animating and prioritising its specific customer developments portfolio in accordance with the pole management and the application R&D managers
  • Planning the internal pilot trials with the R&D team
  • Developing the solution in accordance with technical and economic objectives
  • Assisting and managing actively the industrials trials on the customer facilities
  • Analyse the results, write technical report and communicate the results
  • Identify the technical issues on a specific area or applications field and resolve them.
  • Participate in technical benchmarking.
  • Experiences :

    Food technologist or equivalent through experiences

    Minimum 5 years of food manufacturing or R&D experience (preferably in bakery field),

    In terms of skills, you have the following assets :

    Problem solving abilities

    Excellent communication and presentation

    Good knowledge of food processes, ingredients (preferably in baking)

    Fluent in English (minimum level in French)

    Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint Word ...

    Good written and verbal communication (in English)
