We are looking for an experienced and motivated Solutions Specialist, to support the growth and revenue generated by the VMware vendor.
The Solution Specialist will work across the entire VMware portfolio with a very strong focus on the VMware hyper-convergence solution (vSAN) and the SDDC environment (VCF).
The VMware Solution Specialist will be supported throughout his work by internal VMware teams both in business terms (dedicated contact via Partner Business Manager, lead generation campaign, account mapping, customer events, etc.
and in technical terms (dedicated training, integration into the various VMware Partner University skills acquisition programs and support by Sales Engineers).
Roles & Responsibilities
The VMware Solution Specialist will work closely with the key account team and will have to respond to business missions;
Achieve quarterly sales objectives by initiating new business opportunities and by developing the existing VMware customer base;
Control and manage the entire sales cycle : detection of need, drafting and defence of commercial offers, financial arrangements and negotiations, deal closing, monitoring and long-term development of the customer relationship
Execute targeted commercial actions with customers to support the sales of vSAN hyper-convergence solution (up-sell, cross-sell)
This person will work closely with the management of SoftwareONE and VMware to support and accelerate the adoption of VMware solutions internally (sales teams) and externally.
Contribute directly to the global VMware / SoftwareONE partnership by supervising and centralizing business exchanges and by participating in the implementation of commercial / marketing actions
Be the point of contact for customer projects including VMware solutions
Work in collaboration with the sales team to contribute to their skills development on VMware offers and contribute to the development of their customer territory
Provide global reporting on VMware business to the various managers
We are looking for a profile already familiar with VMware solutions, in particular in terms of SDDC architecture integrating the notion of storage and with significant experience in the sale of high added value software.
What we need to see from you
Working experience with VMware ecosystem
Minimum +5 to 10 years of experience in sales and negotiation in the IT sector
Proficiency in professional English
Experience with C-Level customer type of contacts and realize new business opportunities in a competitive environment
Be proactive with a keen sense of analysis of the IT industry
Nice to have : experience in BtoB partnership management
Travel required up to 30-40%
