This is an exciting opportunity for a salesperson to lead the commercial development for Sustainalytics in sales of ESG rating services to large companies.

We are looking for a sales leader with proven expertise in corporate investment banking and sustainability linked financing.

In this role you will do business development, prospecting, and turn qualified opportunities into sales of ESG and sustainability to Europe’s leading companies.

The sales leader will be specializing in the push of the Sustainalytics ESG Assessment Platform - a tool that helps corporates map and gain insight into the material ESG risk in the supply chain.

With on-demand and predictive ESG Risk Ratings and flexible plans, buyers can rate more suppliers. The tool helps corporates visualize their supply chain, including direct and indirect suppliers, and compare their ESG Risk Ratings all in one place.

Comparable company scores will help corporates evaluate organizations across industries, sectors, and regions.

In the role, you will also gain profile within the ESG market through speaking opportunities, networking, and engagement in market development.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Contribute to and implement the SCS business development strategy;
  • Act as a trusted advisor to corporate sustainability, treasurer, c-suite, investor relations and marketing leaders in companies to how to integrate ESG solutions;
  • Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline;
  • Support other sales team members in a team-based selling setting;
  • Be the team’s expert in ESG for corporates, including supply chain ESG, Sustainable Finance, provide guidance to management, product development and execution on the needs, requirements and regulatory changes of your assigned markets;
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking groups;
  • Build, maintain and extend professional networks;
  • Further develop ESG and Sustainable Finance industry knowledge.
  • Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will be a genuine team player who can reach objectives through close collaboration and coordination with other team members, based on Sustainalytics’ relationship-focused consultative sales philosophy.

    The candidate should have the following qualifications :

  • Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in sales and ESG to large corporations;
  • Proven expertise in corporate investment banking and sustainability linked financing
  • 5 to 10 years related work experience;
  • Sales experience highly desired;
  • Commercial mindset, innovative and entrepreneurial, with a keen interest in sales;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
  • English fluency required;
  • Monthly travel to other financial centres and travel to Europe or North America a few times per year required; and
  • A related degree (finance, business) and / or corporate social responsibility.
