Description

Position Purpose & Summary : Responsible for portfolio and project management activities across projects with low to medium cost and risk, including support for EHS projects.

Demonstrates full knowledge of project management.Support for Environment, Health and Safety administrative support. Provides varied technical support duties through the following areas of focus : support on implementation of EHS strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of EHS results, shaping of the internal EHS culture and management of the external EHS brand.

  • Conducts Continuous Improvement activities related to the portfolio leadership, governance and control; project execution, value realization and measurement;
  • capability and culture development; business partnership, and budget management.Position of back-up for the Plant Superintendent Principal Accountabilities : 20%PROJECT LEADERSHIP

  • Provides strategic vision to the project team utilizing a general knowledge of portfolio management and basic business / technical acumen.
  • Leads periodic project reviews utilizing a full knowledge of the project delivery process.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements project management best practices based on a thorough knowledge of project management.
  • 20% PROJECT PLANNING EXECUTION AND MONITORING

  • Defines project objectives and scope
  • Leads the execution of projects.
  • Utilizes the project management framework to achieve project objectives of delivered on time, on budget and business results are realized for projects with low to medium cost and risk.
  • Regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections for low to medium cost and risk projects.
  • Ensures successful completion of all project phases and closure of all aspects of the project.
  • 20% CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT LEADERSHIP

  • Continuously analyzes and measures the effectiveness of improvements, and recommends additional improvements to applications, processes and procedures with moderate levels of ambiguity.
  • Leads groups through the continuous improvement process for projects with the low to medium cost and risk. Example projects include : packaging efficiency, production productivity, resource utilization (water & exhaust reduction), customer service response, customer profitability, etc.
  • Uses advanced knowledge and application of principles, concepts, industry best practices and standards. Researches and develops continuous improvement tools and methods (e.
  • g.Lean / Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Cargill PPM / Project Delivery Process).

  • Identifies problems, and applies structured and disciplined methodology and data to identify and scope root causes, and execute continuous improvement low to medium cost and risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement capability and culture change
  • Create performance metrics to measure program success
  • Prepares presentations, communications, and training materials to enable change management and success of CI project initiatives.
  • 15%SUPPORT TO DEVELOP AND IMPROVE EHS STRATEGYIn collaboration with EHS expert :

  • Leads and ensures all production / operating facilities comply with Cargill safety program standards and goals.
  • Develops strong partnerships with EHS expert leaders to ensure the most effective risk mitigation plans and regulatory compliance strategies are in place :
  • Health & Safety : champions a culture of zero injury and illness.
  • Environmental : Reduces and proactively avoids environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses.
  • Provides overall oversight to EHS incident data to identify risks and to recommend mitigation strategies
  • Leads strategic initiatives representing the business with external / internal regulatory authorities. Has overall accountability for maintaining good rapport with the local community and regulatory agencies.
  • Represents the Group / Business as principal spokesperson on significant operational matter. Develops relationships and contacts with suppliers and authorities and actively supports community involvement activities.
  • Support and updates EHS program and process documentation by incorporating clearly defined instructions and edits provided by more senior team members.
  • Provides tactical leadership to ensure deep understanding and achieve support of the approved EHS strategy, or relevant parts of the approved EHS strategy, from internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  • Frequently, benchmarks internally and externally to identify best practices of others, consistent with and in support of the EHS strategy.
  • 15% MAINTAIN AND CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE EHS RESULTS AND CULTUREIn collaboration with EHS expert :

  • Collect Environment, Health and Safety data from plant.
  • Follow EHS KPI results and record into the appropriate database
  • Implement and follow EHS assessment (SIF Focus Plant tour, Nearmiss)
  • Deploy root cause analysis in case of EHS event
  • Support change process
  • Creates and updates EHS training materials by incorporating clearly defined instructions. Provides internal training
  • May support and maintain EHS communication tools and channels (e.g., website, SharePoint).
  • Validate intervention conditions on the plant (permits and PJHA approval)
  • 10% PLANT MANAGER BACK-UP

  • Back-up for the PSI in case of absence
  • Permits, PJHA and cotation approval on behalf of PSI if needed
  • Qualifications

  • Engineer / master’s degree
  • EHS knowledge
  • 2 years in industrial companies for project management
  • 2 years in a similar function in an EHS department
  • Industrial Projects management
  • EHS expertise
  • Engineer / master’s degree
  • EHS expertise / certification
  • 10 years in industrial companies for project or production management
  • packaging industry / technology expertise
  • Expertise as an EHS coordinator or consultant
  • Knowledge for industrial equipment in bottling
