About the role
The primary responsibilities of the role are :
Alignment with distribution partners on mutual local strategic priorities
Execute strategic go-to-market distribution plan with emphasis on managed brokers covering core top and bottom line goals and appropriate strategic initiatives and milestones to support
Understand Managed Brokers strategy in-country and across the region and communicate internally with appropriate stakeholders
Implement local and regional distribution campaigns (where applicable)
Define appropriate engagement model with local broker counterparts e.g. quarterly meetings to review priorities, risk appetite, business production, and communicate successes
Build and manage deal pipeline with distribution partners ensuring alignment with underwriting teams
Work with underwriting to execute OBR portfolio priorities with managed brokers in the respective markets
Knowledge and data
Interpret data on broker performance (e.g. share of wallet, acquisition costs etc.) and extract insights for the business
Leverage Swiss Re's thought leadership and innovation to deliver on agreed strategic priorities with distribution partners
Collate market intel from distribution partners and feed back to business (announcements on personnel changes)
Act as point of contact for the broker to raise and resolve ad hoc issues that require escalation to management and regional distribution manager
Assist with internal deal escalation for complex transactions
Broker Service Agreements
Contribute to execution and planning of relevant BSAs
Compliance & Controlling
Ensure compliance with all of Swiss Re business guidelines
Act according to the company's Code of Conduct

Ensure that relevant (Client, Group, Divisional, etc.) deadlines are met
Performance measurement criteria :
Goals will be set on an individual basis and will include elements similar to the existing "What" & "How" dimensions; for example
Financial results aligned with regional objectives e.g. GWP / CMR / TUR / LTPA / Retention etc.
Strategic / Cultural approach in respect of contribution to local / regional objectives
Progress in agreed strategic initiatives
A university degree with or equivalent education / experience.
Significant and varied experience in the insurance market either in distribution management, underwriting, risk management or insurance marketing complemented by practical experience in executing non-standard risk transfer solutions.
Broad industry network with key stakeholders (brokers, corporate risk managers, insurance professionals)
Track record in sales, relationship management and new business origination
Track record in dealing with complex transactions
Intimate knowledge of various CRM systems such as salesforce.com
