    LCTE laboratory (Test and Electrical Characterization) is part of LETI's Department of Silicon Components (DCOS) and is in charge of the functional test and the electrical characterization of semiconductor devices (CMOS, power, memory, imagers.

  • realized on 200 or 300mm wafers fabricated in LETI clean rooms or by our industrial partners. A fleet of measurement equipments is used to report on the functionality of devices, compare technological variants and analyze in detail the physical mechanisms governing their performance and reliability.

    Job description

    CEA is looking for a research engineer for the development, execution and analysis of tests on innovative image sensors.

    An important focus will be on the execution of ultra-short transient measurements (<1ms), and the analysis of their evolution during pixel ageing (electrical, light and temperature stress).

    Such analysis should make it possible to map the defects induced by the fabrication and ageing of the pixels (energy, concentration, time constants), and thus lead to a robust degradation model.

    The engineer will be required to :

  • develop specific test procedures (test benches remote control, implementation of complex opto-electrical sequences),
  • prepare and execute opto-electrical tests, in manual or automatic mode,
  • format and analyze test data for internal and / or external communication,
  • analyze test data, provide clear conclusions about the physical mechanisms governing pixel performance and reliability,
  • quantify the degradation of the pixels (defects) and propose a reliability model.
  • Applicant Profile

    Higher education, engineer or doctorate, you have a 1 to 5 years' experience in the field of testing, electrical characterization and reliability of electronic components.

    You have a knowledge of the micro and nanoelectronic devices and technologies essential to the relevance of the tests. An imager background is also desired but not required.

    You are familiar with microelectronic electrical characterization equipments (Keysight, Tektronix / Keithley, TEL, Cascade, .

  • and you master one or more object-oriented programming languages, especially Python.
  • The experience of teamwork and the mastery of English are essential. You have the sense of organization and innovation and are force proposing new characterization strategies.

    You are able to effectively summarize your work for internal or external communication.
