A vacancy for a Propulsion Control System Integrator for Greener Aircraft m / f is open within Airbus in Toulouse.

You will be part of the team focused on ZEROe projects dedicated to greener aircraft.
Your activities will focus on development and integration of technologies for new energies to reduce the carbon footprint of the propulsion and energy generation of aircraft.
These initiatives are based on use of new energy sources (hydrogen, electricity). Depending on the project, the level of disruption with existing turbofan technology will vary.
Engineering Powerplant is a key contributor to these projects, as engines components and integration will need to be adapted, or developed from scratch.
The expected outcomes from the projects are :
adaptation of the storage, distribution and engine controls to new fuels (i.e hydrogen, fuel additives)
identification of the main challenges regarding to the new fuels and the dedicated control of power
development and integration of the electrical propulsion control system architecture into the aircraft
definition of the system architecture based on top down functional approach at Aircraft level.
You will benefit from expert community and management to ensure the learning of the specific skills.
Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include :
Proposing propulsion system concepts for trades in a multidisciplinary team,
Defining Propulsion control system architecture,
Integrating the Engine control system into the Aircraft
Defining system requirements, partly using the Model Based System Engineering,
Testing concept and architectures on system demonstrators.
A key success factor will be the collaboration with the engine manufacturer and the synergies between different ZEROe projects.
This role will involve some travels for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience :
Educated to a Master degree level (or equivalent) in engineering / avionics or a related discipline
At least 10 years experience in related domain
Experience in engineering or operations
Knowledge in system engineering and system architecture
Skills in Model Based System Engineering is a plus
Driven by collaborative and team work
Knowledge in Intellectual Property and Confidentiality protection
Language Skills : advanced level of English and intermediate level of French
