Listing

Within Euronext, the Listing Department is in charge of the relationship with listed companies and those contemplating an IPO.

Our mission is to promote financial markets and explain to business leaders the benefits of listing and how to better use financial markets once public.

In addition, we are fully supporting the funding mechanics by creating and promoting new services and financing instruments, fostering the development and growth of the investors pool, gathering the ecosystem and lobbying towards European public authorities.

Proximity with business leaders and members of the ecosystem is essential for our success. In addition to a strong presence of the Listing team in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Lisbon, local representations have been set up in major French cities (Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille and Nantes) and most recently in new European locations : Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Munich and Zurich.

After the acquisition of the Irish Stock Exchange in 2017, Euronext announced the acquisition of Oslo Børs VPS in 2018, further extending its European footprint and reinforcing its pivotal position towards capital markets convergence in Europe.

Key Accountabilities

  • Within the Listing Department, the Analyst Team is the reference knowledge and project centre. Fully The Apprentice will also be involved in the launch and development of new initiatives (targeting innovative Tech SMEs across Europe, Family owned-businesses, etc.
  • and will participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports on market activity from a Listing perspective.

  • Consequently, his / her practice areas will range from peers analysis and global ECM benchmarks to capital markets utilisation and stock performance analysis.
  • Taking part to the team’s effort and contribution to strengthening the department, the Apprentice will bolster the team’s research capacities.

  • The Apprentice will support senior Analysts and Sales people in carrying out various studies, being an integral part of the coverage and origination effort (research, analysis, pitching and to a lesser extent, meetings).
  • The Apprentice will also be involved in the launch and development of the department’s new sustainable finance offering, by helping design and implement the ESG product offering and by building partnerships with relevant ESG expert institutions.
  • To achieve this, he / she will need skills including financial analysis and a solid background in Equity Capital Markets benchmarks, capital markets regulation and stock performance analysis.
  • Given the high level of interactions with various stakeholders, he / she should be able to easily swap from qualitative to quantitative topics.

  • The Apprentice will also more generally assist the Listing team in the researching areas deemed strategic for development, affecting prospects, issuers and ecosystem members and will be associated to delivering the Listing Department’s projects.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Student from a top business school or university (Major in finance, business or economics)
  • Excellent Microsoft toolkit (Excel + PPT + Word)
  • Effective prior experience in capital markets environments
  • Solid understanding of the capital markets ecosystem and macroeconomic drivers
  • Strong abilities to perform research and build relevant intelligence on various topics
  • Effective interest for the intricacies between regulation and capital markets
  • Proven project design and solid writing skills with material achievements / deliverables
  • Appetite for constant interactions with varied stakeholders internally and externally
  • Superior ability to navigate within virtual teams and multicultural environments
  • High people orientation and effective team player
