Control System Lead
Main Roles and Responsibilities :
Maintain, troubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC / PC controllers and industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, ASI, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systemsAct as first level escalation support for the CST teams.
Appropriately escalate downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support to restore equipment operationMonitor MHE metrics and partner with facilities / operations for system performance issues both within assigned SC and with like systems in similar SCApply subject matter expertise in material handling and electronic systems to maximize building utilization of systems.
Perform and Utilize SC System Assessments to assess material handling system performance.Partner with Facility Operations leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technology installations.
Act as the technical consultant for capital projects inside the building.Utilize EU network support resources for guidance and assistance, and provide assistance to CSS team, as needed.
Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts and work closely with operations and engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of impact to systems.
Train and develop CSTs on controls systems concepts and proceduresDevelop a strong collaborative team-based environment.
Import JLL best practices in the interest of exceeding client goals and expectationsCollaborate with account Sourcing team on national and regional sourcing opportunities to define scope, coordinate supplier walk-through, and manage national and regional supplier performance at property level.
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain positive relationship with site Operations team by providing a seamless interface to client; must have superior leadership skills, sense of urgency, bias for action, attention to detail and creativityPrimary interface with client representatives.
Collaborate to determine client expectations. Ensures delivery of committed services and overall satisfaction with JLL performance.
Demonstrate leadership, responsiveness and creativity in finding solutions for service delivery.
Establish and maintain a safety-first culture by promoting and driving safe work practices timely training, best practices as well as delivering rewards and recognitions to promote safe behaviour.
Work with Regional & EU Facility Manager to provide the strategy, vision and continuous improvement to drive the facility personnel to advance the quality of service delivery and further the client partnership.
Foster a collaborative teamwork environment. Promote energy and enthusiasm. Maximize productivity. Motivate employees with recognition and career growth opportunities.
Support all CSS performance reviews, both mid-year and year-end, on a timely basis
Skills / Qualifications
Associates degree in electronic technology or related field or 5 years equivalent experienceAbility to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Siemens Step7 and TIA portal, AB RS LOGIX 5000 PLC's and PLC componentsKnowledge of OPC communication protocolsAbility to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, modify and program SCADA and HMI components.
Experience with SCADA systems such as Ignition, Wincc and RSView StudioAbility to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify control network componentsAbility to identify, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify Motor Controls including motor starters, VariableFrequency Drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components.
Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systemsUnderstand concepts and messaging protocols within Warehouse Management System SoftwareUnderstand concepts and messaging protocols within Warehouse control systems conceptsAbility to execute project tasks assigned.
Reasoning, analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to interpret and modify drawings both mechanical and electrical. Ability to identify, maintain, and utilize SCADA systems and KPI's Ability to train others with lesser skillsAbility to access all levels and areas of the facilityAbility to interpret and understand policies and procedures and relate them to others
