Job Title : Field Application Scientist Cell and Gene Therapy

The Field Application Scientist will provide scientific expertise, applications support and training to customers on Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Cell and Gene Therapy Instrument Portfolio .

This may include in-person, phone, email and / or video communications. They will partner with sales reps in the field to deliver product line specific, pre-, and post-sales related customer support activities, and solve customer escalations effectively.

Also, the successful candidate will act as a trusted expert to our customers, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty and contributing to the overall success of the business.

The geography of responsibility is France, Benelux, Iberia . Ideal candidate will be based in Northern France.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide on-site and remote scientific application support on Cell and Gene Therapy product lines
  • Perform system installation, demonstration, and training on relevant products at customer or company locations
  • Prepares and present seminars to wide array of audiences
  • Partner with regional, and global teams to support the organization in the achievement of the regional commercial, service and support goals
  • Solve customer escalations effectively through in-depth troubleshooting.
  • Remain up to date with product and state of the art scientific know how
  • Work in line with our support & service competencies, processes and company values.
  • Experience / Qualifications required :

  • PhD in Cell Biology or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working with relevant laboratory techniques; cell separation, flow cytometry, cell culture
  • Experience of working with human tissue and whole blood
  • Proven understanding of cell therapy workflows and working in a cGMP environment
  • Experience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal form
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical problems.
  • Good commercial insight and attitude required.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical reports and apply mathematical and statistical data analysis
  • Should live on territory
  • Physically able to flexibly travel throughout area of responsibility
  • Valid driving license
