JOB TITLE : Facilities Lead Buyer
JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY :
Inside the Indirect Sourcing department (>
2Bn€ purchases) and hierarchically linked to Facilities Commodity Director (400M€ purchasing scope), this role involves the purchasing of Facilities Management services and Utilities supplies to support worldwide manufacturing and non-manufacturing site’s needs.
The successful applicant will manage numerous internal and external stakeholders to develop Facilities requirements and lead sourcing strategies that deliver value for money and fit for purpose solutions.

Coordinate and source in line with business objectives and according to ALSTOM sourcing processes
Optimize and decrease TCO through strategy building contribution and deployment
Negotiate contracts and frame agreements with key suppliers
Manage Supplier Panel in line with strategy
Contribute to commodity maturity improvement through audit support and continuous improvement programs
Innovate with best practices proposal and leadership or implementation
Be recognized as a business development facilitator and an added-value contributor
Contribute to transversal commodities strategy improvement and deployment
Develop and share market constraints understanding and strategic vision
Ensure Sourcing project / service execution / influence by :
Developing close network of internal and external stakeholders worldwide
Working with internal stakeholders to align requirements with Sourcing objectives
Challenging technical specifications produced by stakeholders by promoting Design To Cost and Just Enough
Bringing innovation through supplier selection and sustain supplier QCD performance
Participating to Make or Buy decision process utilizing reference costing and market indicators
Supporting global negotiation for key projects securing savings in line with global targets
Ensuring Sourcing strategy application and alignment with processes and policy
Makes sure that suppliers selected are compliant with Alstom Sourcing criteria
Contribute to Global Energy Saving Plan
To be considered for this role, candidate need to be able to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes :
Business school or Engineering school and Master in Purchasing
Experience between 3 to 7 years in international purchasing within an industrial environment
Experience with Facilities Management is a real plus
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Strong buying and negotiating expertise
Strong sense of business acumen and analytical skills
Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
Results, service and Customer oriented
Team spirit, autonomous, force of proposal
Speaking English and French mandatory
Able to regularly travel to sites (20% / 30%) under scope of responsibility
