Today we have an exciting and new opportunity to join our Trade & Position Life Cycle Team in Paris.
Provide effective support to the current global team manager in day-to-day business and coordinate with team members on issue resolution
Ensure core business activities on listed derivatives, OTC & collateral activities are actioned
Participate on a number of projects and initiatives related to the Operations Department (global, regional & local projects)
Provide accurate oversight control of outsourced activities to our external middle office provider
Be the main point of contact for investment portfolio managers, sales, external providers and internal partners on multifaceted issues and operations queries
Handle derivatives trade support queries from clients across Europe
Be rigorous and analytical while performing tasks and meeting deadlines
Proactively manage and / or escalate conflicts and issues with stakeholders
Build trusted advisor relationships with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization (Portfolio Management, Distributions, IT, Risk Management )
Take the lead on queries, projects and steer meetings
Write and / or update operational procedures
Cross training with other team members
Drive and propose improvements to current processes such as automation ideas or process efficiency improvements
At least 10 years’ experience in Derivatives Middle Office activities such as listed derivatives, OTC as well as collateral management
Understand the full trade life cycle, including awareness of middle and back office functions / processes and their touch points with the front office and downstream
Experience in management of outsourced middle office providers & provide oversight functions as the need arises
Good knowledge of listed derivatives business, OTC instruments & collateral management life Cycle
Proven understanding of the data required to support functions within the investment process both in the Back and the Middle Office areas
Creative and hands-on, ready to think creatively and add input / challenge to improve existing workflows while being client centric
Ability to resolve complex problems and be delivery focused, rigorous and well organized
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be self-motivated
Be a strong team player in a global and regional environment
Flexible to change and drive continuous changes in the processes and structure
Previous participations in projects / initiatives as SM
Possibility to travel across Europe on non-regular basis : Frankfurt, Paris and London
Languages : Excellent verbal and written communication in English is mandatory. German and French is a plus
GVBA skills and knowledge of Bloomberg AIM is a plus.
