Perform calibration of customer equipment using approved procedures and good Metrology practice.
Ensure all certificates and records are completed and passed through for filing.
Participate in UKAS and customer surveillance and accreditation audits.
Check work completion dates and worksheet instructions to ensure work is completed on time. Perform periodic measurements of the Laboratory standards as dictated by the Head of Laboratory or equivalent.
Perform internal cross comparison audits within the Laboratory.
Produce and audit automated and manual calibration procedures for use within the Laboratory for customer calibration.
Develop measurement uncertainty budgets for customer calibrations.
Conduct all duties in accordance with Company Health and Safety procedures and policies.
Provide technical support to colleagues on request in line with capability.
Additionally the title holder may be called upon from time-to-time to perform duties within the capability of the title holder.
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications.
Good understanding of calibration, both practical and theory.
Knowledge of BS EN ISO / IEC 17025 : 2017.
Ability to create and calculate uncertainty of measurement.
Good understanding of Windows-based (Excel and Word) and laboratory automation software.
Experience of working within a customer focussed environment.
