    He / she is responsible for managing quality assurance operations. He / she reports to the Quality Director.

    He / she will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining quality assurance of the perimeter respective sites.

    He / she supervise, coordinate and partake in Quality Assurance related to Production, Quality, Environment and Safety Management of the plant.

    He is responsible for EHS, Quality and Energy ISO certification. He / she will coordinate activities of each local QA managers.

    He / she is responsible for producing standards of compliance on each site and influence completion of agreed actions and recommendations.

    He / she manages self-assessment processes and internal audit.


  • Maintain ISO certifications ;
  • Monitor and validate all policies, procedures and documentation related to ISO, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety and Energy Assurance Plans
  • Implement transition plan to migrate from individual entity ISO certification to umbrella ISO certification (umbrella for multiple site by region).
  • Lead the transition by planning and supporting the strategy in coordination with other QA Managers.

  • Coordinate and present Quality follow-up plan during monthly reviews.
  • Provide quality assurance support to all functions with a focus on compliance with ISO 9001 14001 - 45001 - 50001 / SA 8000 / and possible other local certifications
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders informing them regularly of all ISO and certification activities, and making monthly reports outs.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and Quality Control Managers to standardize certifications and processes
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to ensure compliance with ISO
  • Help management to identify gaps and develop strategy to meet customer quality and regulatory requirements
  • Raise awareness of Quality, EH&S, and Energy management systems across the plants
  • Investigate on customer claims with the support of Plant and Quality Control managers
  • Implement, when necessary, Imerys Group policies and procedures
  • Update Quality, Environment, Health & Safety and Energy Management Systems; monitor adherence to goals; maintain document control database
  • Profile / Competencies

    Education, background, level of experience

    Essential / Mandatory :

  • Engineering degree (industrial / Quality) with a minimum of 8 years progressive experience in oversight, development and monitoring assurance systems
  • Working experience with Quality systems management (such as ISO 9001, etc.)
  • Experience in applying and maintaining ISO certifications
  • Experience in Health, Environment and Safety certification such as ISO18001 to ISO45001
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in an international environment
  • The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical, planning and management skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Autonomous and self-starter
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the relevant regulations, standards and operating procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Proven ability to create improvement in processes and systems
  • Preferred :

  • Knowledge of the refractories industry and / or our customers’ operations in the different markets
  • Travel : 30%

    Languages : English and French. A third language (German or Italian..) is a plus
