Description of assignment

The role :

Reporting to the Operations Manager

To deliver a first class premises officer service, including being a key holder and co-ordinating community activities

To ensure the cleanliness and security of the building and car park, including carrying out basic health and safety checks

To maintain the school grounds keeping them free of litter and leaves

To carry out basic maintenance and repairs

To monitor and approve contractors work

To liaise with school staff regarding setting up of room layouts

Working 40 hours per week, 14 : 00 to 23 : 00, Monday to Friday

The person :

Experience in a similar role is essential, ideally in an educational environment

Good customer care and people skills

Able to carry out monitoring and recording of cleaning standards

Experience in Mechanical PPM

Able to work unsupervised

Basic Handyman skills

Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures

Able to obtain DBS (formally CRB) check (due to working alongside children)
