Managing and developing a house where core members (those with learning disabilities) and assistants live together. This means organising and providing their support and building relationships.
This also involves a large part of the care administration, building rotas and organising.
Ensuring animation of the house along with the Community Leader (motivating / supporting / bringing life to the house)
Developing a spirit of cooperation in the assistant team. Encouraging, motivating and listening to their needs. Enabling and leading regular meetings such as team meetings and house meetings.
Working with the Coordinating Team and communicating with the Leadership Team on a regular basis.
Can communicate well with everyone
Has previous adult care experience
Can lead a team effectively and has experience of supervising others
Is willing to support different religious / spiritual beliefs
Has previous experience of building rotas
Is flexible (weekend work will be required)
Previous work with people with learning disabilities would be advantageous
