Position Overview

Our Executive Sous Chef is the rock of our hotel! Entrusted with leading the kitchen team every day in all of our different outlets and for supporting our Executive Chef towards the success of the kitchen.

Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.

Essential Functions & Physical Requirements

  • A day in the life of our Executive Sous Chef demands high levels of energy. They need consistency even though the days are never alike;
  • and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the contributions that our Executive Sous Chef accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

  • Our Executive Sous Chef is responsible for leading the whole kitchen brigade during their day. This will include supporting our Executive Chef in the leading of the kitchen and all of our Head Chefs through their daily services, all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
  • The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting our chefs at all levels, from coaching and mentoring to recruitment of passionate chefs at all levels.
  • Our values of Personality, Passion, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. The purpose of Executive Sous Chef is to live their behaviours to continue to create our legacy.
  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Executive Sous Chef must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.
  • Qualifications and Desirables

  • Previous experience working in luxury hotel environment beneficial.
  • Strong experience working as a senior leader in the chef essential.
  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. Our Executive Sous Chef must feel comfortable communicating in this language.
