The Director, Identity Management and Security (IMS) Business Development is a member of the IMS Division Leadership Team and leads the team of business development managers / directors (BDM / D).
The BDM / Ds develop the business plans for their given market (ecosystems, industries and / or geographies), and own the success of their business plans.
The BDM / D intimately understand market needs and trends, demand drivers, and advise the organization on :
The regions and market segments we should focus on;
The solutions we should develop;
The partnerships that will help us better solve the problems our clients are facing;
The delivery requirements of the market;
The best sales channels for the market;
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Leads Business Development team, owns and manages business development process for the Identity Management & Security division of UL;
Has accountability for the performance and client satisfaction of the markets under the responsibility of the Business Development team;
Responsible for the development and jointly responsible with P&L and functional leaders - for the execution of business plans for target markets;
Represents UL in appropriate committees and forums. Provides external leadership through presentations and meetings with executives in key industries and markets;
Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to;
Performs other duties as directed.
University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science, Engineering or a related disciplines plus generally twelve years related experience;
MBA or advanced business degree, or equivalent professional experience;
Consulting Experience and / or strong demonstrated change management experience;
Experience in cybersecurity (preferred);
Experience in an industry that UL serves and ability to understand other industries;
Experience creating and implementing business processes;
Team Management experience.
