The Credit Research department is in charge of assessing and monitoring credit quality of Fixed Income investments for Generali Investments’ Portfolio Managers .
The team is very international, composed of 15 professionals of different nationalities based in Paris, Italy and Zurich.
You will assist the senior sector analysts in the analysis and monitoring of companies & industries. You will help develop financial models and credit opinions.
You will be required to demonstrate strong analytical skills and ability to provide insightful assessments to develop within the team.
Over time, your objective shall be to become autonomous and responsible for your own coverage, meaning :
Developing well-documented opinions, effective research recommendations and bond ratings / outlooks,
Drafting high quality reports, credit updates and sector reviews.
Core Duties :
Assist senior analysts in the credit assessment and monitoring of a portfolio of companies across various industries either via primary markets or private placements
Build financial models and assign internal ratings for issuers in portfolio along with detailed rationale
Participate in due diligence meetings and research as required
Assist senior analysts in the preparation of documents for Credit Management Committees as required
Output : The Junior Credit Analyst’s core work results in :
Assist in proving independent, fundamental financials credit research for primary and secondary markets
Create historical and projected financial models, analysing key financial metrics to differentiate improving from deteriorating credits
Provide benchmarks against peers
Develop analytical / monitoring tools when appropriate or as required
Assist senior analysts in producing and drafting high quality credit research, credit update and sector reviews when required

Excellent Analytical Skills You should be able to analyse companies; industries and situations both from a fundamental perspective and in a relative value context
Strong Communication Skills - You should be able to express his opinion via clear written opinions which is well supported by data.
Strong verbal communication & presentation skills are essential
Self-Starter You need to be curious and questioning to challenge the obvious to develop a well thought out investment thesis.
You should be quick; flexible and responsive with a keen eye for detail
Languages Fluent in English. Fluency in another European language desirable
Credit and Legal Skills Ability to dig into bond documentation and understand covenant clauses will be a plus
