Job Description

The Market IT Manager, sits within the Commercial and Digital IT function, but is accountable for the de-livery of all end-

to end IT services to the Alcon France market including applications, infrastructure and projects. This means on the one hand, driving the successful execution of Alcon’s global digital transfor-

mation agenda, while also understanding local opportunities and issues and delivering against these.

To act as the IT single point of contact for the market, ensuring a high level of satisfaction of Key Stakeholders GM, Country LT, Country Franchise Leads etc.

  • End-to-end IT Support) To lead the coordination and resolution for any major IT issues, working with the appropriate local, regional and global support teams.
  • Sales Force focused IT Oversight) To work with the end user experience teams to ensure effective IT support to the sales force in the market ( device and applications)
  • Regional Deployments) Work with global service delivery teams to plan and execute the successful deployment of global or regional solutions across all areas Sales force, Digital, ERP, Analytics, End User experience.
  • Country Applications and Vendors) To manage any local applications / vendors and ensure they fol-low global compliance standards.
  • Digital and Country requirements) to highlight and find compliant solutions for country specific re-quirements which need fast turn-
  • around, e.g. local digital opportunities, legal or statutory changes

  • Compliance) to ensure Alcon’s IT compliance policies (ISRM) are applied to all local projects, applica-tions, vendors and day to day operations e.
  • g. working with Global compliance, supporting Audits, facili-tating 3PAS etc.

  • IT Community) Lead the IT community in the market which includes all IT resources whether re-porting directly to you (commercial and digital) or not (in the case where there are manufacturing, ERP or other global functions represented)
  • Subject Matter Expert) Act as the Regional subject matter expert for one of the IT domains (Sales force, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Analytics, End User Experience)
  • Minimum requirements

    10 15 years of business / IT experience with at least ten years of leadership experience in customer facing IT leadership roles in a Global / European company

    Broad knowledge of business IT topics eg End User Compu-ting (Microsoft), ERP (SAP), Digital (Drupal), CRM (Salesforce), eCommerce (Hybris)

    Experience in regulated industry preferred (Medical devices)

    Strong communication and facilitation skills

    Performance driven, problem solver and results oriented.
