Within Finance department, we are looking for a Data Modeler F / M. Position based in Châtillon (92).

You will contribute to collect and transform complex, disparate databases into usable datawarehouses and datamarts for all AXA Partners entities.

You will also empower the end users with proper data assets, including but not limited to :

  • Data Architecture, Modelling & Design
  • Data Quality
  • Data workflows
  • Enforcement of Data governance and standards
  • Reporting to the Head of Finance Data Team and in collaboration with other Data Modelers, your main missions will be :

    Data Architecture, Modelling & Design

  • Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational, dimensional) and data tools (reporting, visualization, analytics).
  • Work with business and application / solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop & optimize conceptual / logical / physical data models with corresponding metadata
  • Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization
  • Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
  • Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments.
  • Develop data models according to company standards.
  • Data Quality

  • Developing standard reports and metrics on data quality
  • Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
  • Projects

  • Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required.
  • Qualifications

    Skills & Experience :

    Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in computer / data science technical or related experience.
  • Fluent English and French
  • Experience in Insurance / Assistance would be appreciated
  • Experience of Finance systems a plus (SAP, Oracle ) a plus
  • 3+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and / or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, SQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols)
  • Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.
  • Good knowledge of metadata management, data modelling, and related required.
  • Experience in team management, communication, and presentation
  • Technical / functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • SQL & MS SQL Server 2016 (knowledge of variants (MySQL / POSTGRESQL ) a plus)
  • Knowledge of Azure Datalake or Hadoop environment (Hive, Impala, HDFS)
  • DAX / MBX / VBA
  • PowerBI (Desktop, Service )

    Knowledge of MSBI

  • Cloud Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Azure Function )
  • Knowledge of Restful API major plus
  • Knowledge of programming languages a plus (R, Python, C#)
  • Versioning (Git hub / Azure DevOps / VSTS)
  • Visual Studio

  • Functional and technical requirement writing
  • Entrepreneurial, team and can-do spirit, able to work unsupervised and with problem-solving skills, constantly striving for effective solutions
  • Strong stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills (listening, negotiating and influencing skills) across a wide range of stakeholders in an international, multicultural and complex environment
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience
  • Must be able to demonstrate advanced data modelling skills, ideally from various methodologies (3NF, dimensional modelling, data vault )
